Summer camp at Police Lines concludes

A forty-day summer camp for the children between the ages of 6 and 15 years concluded at Police Lines Headquarters on Thursday.

The camp included multiple educational and co-curricular activities, including basic computer learning, swimming, horse riding, martial arts and other courses.

The concluding ceremony was held at Police Headquarters, during which the participants were awarded certificates.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Headquarters Sajid Kiyani, while speaking to the participants, said that the police have been offering the summer camps annually since 2002, to make the children responsible and law-abiding citizens.

“Islamabad police is a highly professional force and its efforts for promoting relations with community through such activities are well known,” he said.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Operation Sultan Azam Temuri attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while SP Headquarters Rana Tahir-ur-Rehman, parents of the children and other police officials were also present. Such summer

activities will be continued in the coming years, due to the positive response that has been received, said AIG Temuri.
