KARACHI, July 15: Stressing improvement of the municipal service delivery system in all the towns of Karachi, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has arranged Rs100 million for increasing the number of garbage vans.

72 vans will be bought. These vehicles include 18 refuse vans, 18 skid steer loaders, 19 tractor loaders and 17 dump trucks. It is planned to provide at least three to six such vehicles to each town. A press release issued from the Governor’s House said on Tuesday that Bin Qasim, Gadap, Keamari, Landhi, Malir and Shah Faisal towns would be provided with three vehicles each, four vehicles each will be provided to Korangi, Lyari, New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Orangi and SITE towns, five vehicles each will go to Gulberg and Liaquatabad, and Saddar and Jamshed towns will get six vehicles each.—PPI
