ISLAMABAD, July 13: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Sunday assured a delegation from Balochistan that the people affected by recent rains would be provided compensation and help.

The delegation that called on the prime minister was led by senior provincial minister Maulana Abdul Waseh and comprised Senator Rehmatullah Khan and Prince Agha Faisal Daud.

Referring to the losses caused by the to rains, the prime minister said the government was committed to providing help to all the needy and poor.

He asked the delegation to compile a report on the losses and assured it that the government would provide the victims compensation. He also asked the delegation to prepare a report about the disbursement of funds by the National Highway Authority and promised to look into the matter.—APP
