ISLAMABAD: Major retired Amir Shah has decided to disassociate himself from dialogue process between government and TTP.

Major (r) Amir was coordinating and making contacts between government and TTP at the start of the dialogue process some three months ago and had continued to be part of the dialogue process even after the disbanding of the government committee that he was a member of.

"I have to say with regret that some negotiators are using this dialogue process for their political mileage", Major (r) Amir said in a statement issued in Islamabad.

He said he would soon meet in Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan and would take him into confidence over the decision.

Sources said Major Amir was disappointed after reconstitution of the government committee which resulted in the exclusion of his name.
