KARACHI, July 7: The commander of 5 Corps, Lt-Gen Tariq Waseem Ghazi, has said he is unhappy with the pace of work at a park on the site of Old Sabzimandi.

Talking to reporters after the inauguration of the DHA waterfront development project, he said he had given two briefings to the Sindh governor and the chief minister about the construction of a park at the site of Old Sabzimandi.

“There are some mosques on the site which the city government is not willing to remove. Similarly the court has also given relief to some people on the matter of leases. But the construction of the park on the site of Old Sabzimandi is still on our priority list,” he said.
