KARACHI: A three-member team of doctors studied the medical reports of the former president and advised him to undergo an angiography soon, DawnNews reported.
Special arrangements, including the setting up of a separate ward to conduct backbones tests of former military General (R) Pervez Musharraf, were made at the PNS Shifa hospital in Karachi.
Musharraf is expected to be admitted at PNS Shifa later tonight, according to sources who added that lawyers of the former president may file an application in the Sindh HIgh Court seeking the removal of Musharraf's name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The port city has been on high alert since the arrival of the former military dictator in a chartered airplane yesterday, with roads being cordoned off for security.
Moreover, sources had said the visit of the former military ruler was on account of the security issues confronting him as well as for the continuation of his medical treatment.
It is the first time that the former president, who is reportedly staying at his residence in Zamzama's General's colony in Karachi, has left Islamabad after being indicted in a high treason case by a special court last month.

Indeed its upon affordability to have been treated best. But being Honourable Musharaf's stance over his previous regime and decisions which were in good and bad faith booth indeed. Why is he afraid from rule of law?

not so long ago, Musharraf was saying he was too ill to come a few miles by car to court. But when his mother is taken ill, he is suddenly well enough to fly to Dubai?

@waleed: I don't think President Musharraf is afraid of anything. He/pak army proved when he feels right time he can opt to appear before court. There were no body to bring him to court when he was in army hospital.

Sharif wanted revenge from Musharraf and his current trial is maximum what he can avenge. He can't hang Musharraf he will ultimately go out of Pakistan but now this is matter of pride for Sharif as he has put hand in lion's den and he is unable to take hand out due to fear of losing pride. That's whole reason of Musharraf drama. Now govt will create a new controversy, people's attention will be diverted to that and by the time nation will come back into senses, Musharraf will be out of Pakistan's territory. Typical Pakistani story!

Retd General Saheb spent months in the prv hospital. What were the doctors doing there if they did not get an angiography report for him when he was complaining about heart problem. I smell a rat here.

Being a cardiologist myself I know how serious his disease is. It is not. Why are we dragging cardiologists into the dog fight? Poor AFIC cardiologists have exhausted all the excuses and feel uncomfortable defending their institute.

Now looking hidden places, Farm houses, hospitals, home, Hotels..... Salute to Z. A. Bhutto and other politicians that suffered a lot but never bowed and begged mercy.

Why Musharraf is so scared from Law? Why he speaks lies over lies to avoid law take its course? He knows he has done illegal things just to prolong his rule. He was so ill that he couldn't go to court but now the whole World knows that was a blatant lie. For how long only Mujeebs, Bhuttos and Bugtis will go to jails, gallows and graves? Why special treatment for one person? Very very unfair. Musharraf should face jail like even Benazir and Zardari did. He is lieing and Generals are hand in glove with all lies. Why Aslam Beg is not in jail, his case was proven in court. Why Punjabis and Mohajirs are not sent to jails? Why? Why? Why? Army Generals you broke East Pakistan and now you are hell bent to break Baluchistan and Sindh. Sindhi, Bengalis and Baluchs locked up in jails, judiciary murdered, kidnapped by agencies while Punjabis and Muhajirs given special treatment. I hope all Baluchistan and Sindh will wake up one day

He must be tried.
If convicted, the sentence should be suspended; and he should go into self-exile.
If he is a 'flight risk', he should be kept on ECL; but since he has been indicted, and if he doesn't show up for trial, he can be tried in absentia. Then if-once convicted be extradited from wherever he is 'hiding'. Let the former general, dictator, president live a normal life.
Then lets focus on the Zardari case. And the Sharif cases.
