SWABI: Provincial Senior Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai has said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa strives to restore people’s confidence in the public sector hospitals.

Addressing a function in connection with the Sehat ka Insaf programme at Chota Lahor here on Saturday, he said the government had chalked out a ‘comprehensive’ strategy to achieve its objectives in health and education sectors.

He said it would be ensured that the government hospitals delivered quality healthcare to the poor masses to restore their confidence in public sector health facilities.

Mr Tarakai, who is also the provincial health minister, said: “The poor of the province and tribal belt would get best health care facilities at government hospitals as all the required facilities are being provided there.” He maintained that shortage of doctors and paramedical staff would be overcome in each hospital and basic health unit.
