SUKKUR: A policeman and six other people were wounded, three of them seriously, when rival groups led by two brothers clashed over a piece of land in Jacobabad on Friday.

Iron rods, clubs, bricks and rocks were freely used in the clash which turned Mohammad Jaffer village into a battlefield.

ASI Ashiq Ali Mirani, Ghulam Abbas Mirani and Karam Ali Mirani, along with four other wounded persons, were taken to the Jacobabad Civil Hospital and then referred to the Chandka Medical College Hospital in Larkana due to their serious condition.

No case was registered at the Saddar police station till the filing of the report late in the evening.
