KARACHI: 85 vehicles taken away

KARACHI, July 6: As many as 85 vehicles, including 38 cars and 47 motorcycles, were taken away from different parts of the metropolis during the last one week.

Police said that 21 cars were taken away on gunpoint and 17 others were stolen from the localities of Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulberg, Saddar, North Nazimabad, and Clifton.

As many as 13 motorcycles were taken away on gunpoint while 34 others were stolen from Liaquatabad, Zaman Town, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, New Town, Buffer Zone, Garden, Eidgah, Gulberg, Azizabad, Saeedabad, Kharadar, Garden, TPX, Mochko, Korangi and other city areas.

Out of total 85 vehicles taken away by bandits, police claimed the recovery of 21 cars and 26 motorcycles during the last week.

KILLED: Body of an unidentified person was brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi from Gadani, Balochistan, on Sunday.

Hospital sources said the body was reportedly found hanging from a tree with his hands tied at his back.

Further details of the incident could not be known immediately.
