Published July 3, 2003

ISLAMABAD, July 2: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has convened an informal meeting of his cabinet members on July 4 to discuss political situation in the country and peace negotiations with India.

A cabinet member told Dawn on Wednesday that all the ministers were informed on telephone to cut short their programmes in various parts of the country and attend the meeting on Friday.

No agenda has been fixed for the meeting, said the minister but added all issues of interest would come under discussion given the informal status of the cabinet meeting.

The meeting would start at 8.00pm and would be followed by a dinner to be hosted by the prime minister.
