FAISALABAD, July 1: District Nazim Zahid Nazir says that a comprehensive seven-year master plan is being conceived for the uplift, beautification and modernization of the district as well as for providing facilities of education, health, agriculture, communication and transport to the people.

Speaking at a news conference here on Monday night, the Nazim said efforts were being made by the district government to provide basic amenities to the people at their doorsteps for which the provincial and federal authorities had been approached for financial packages.

International donor and investors were also being approached for getting financial aid, he added.

He claimed that the budget presented by the district government for the year 2003-2004 was balanced as it had been prepared in the light of suggestions and recommendations of the councillors.

Zahid Nazir said that the General Bus Stand would be constructed by spending a huge amount of Rs195 million.
