KARACHI: Four die in accidents

KARACHI, July 1: Four persons died in separate accidents in different parts of the city on Tuesday.

An unidentified woman, in her mid 40’s, was hit by the route 7-C bus in North Nazimabad, while she was crossing the roundabout of Shipowners College.

Police said that she was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where she died during treatment. Following the post- mortem examination, her body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

In another road accident, a textile mill worker died in Quaidabad. Police said that Abdul Hafeez, 40, was knocked down to death by an unidentified speeding vehicle. He was shifted to the JPMC, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Mohammad Nazeer, 30, was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle in the limits of Shah Latif police station. He was shifted to the JPMC, where he died during treatment, police said.

Haji Khan Mohammad, 45, was working in the premises of an industrial unit in Site area, when he was hit by a crane. Police said that the severely injured labourer was shifted to the JPMC.
