CHAMAN: Seven people were killed Sunday in a bus-car collision near Hameed Cross Bridge in Chaman, DawnNews reported.

According to Levies’ personnel, the incident occurred on the Quetta-Chaman Highway near Hameed Cross Bridge.

A Chaman-bound car travelling from Quetta collided with a speedy bus coming from the opposite direction.

Subsequently, seven people in the car, including two children and a woman, sustained severe injuries. They succumbed to their wounds while being shifted to a hospital.

The driver of the car was also killed in the accident.

Following the accident, traffic was suspended on the Quetta-Chaman Highway.

Pakistan has one of the world's worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
