Ghazi murder case: Musharraf granted exemption from appearance

ISLAMABAD: An additional sessions court on Saturday in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case granted exemption for today to former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf and summoned him in its next hearing on March 15, DawnNews reported.

The capital city’s additional sessions court judge Wajid Ali heard the case.

During the hearing, Musharraf’s lawyer requested for permanent exemption for Musharraf in the cleric killing case.

Subsequently, the court decided to discuss the matter of permanent exemption for Musharraf from court appearances in its next hearing on March 15.

The Lal Masjid operation was a 2007 government crackdown during Musharraf’s tenure on the controversial pro-Taliban mosque in Islamabad, which ended in a bloody eight-day siege killing at least 58 Pakistani troops and seminary students.

Ghazi was an inciting terrorist leader. His goons were attacking innocent retailers and shot and killed army and police. He also had a hoard of illegal arms in a seminary? How can we forget the facts? It is shameful for present govt to have this case against Musharraf for this the real case against Musharraf is for him allowing NRO?

What a mockery of law criminals are being made innocent / victims and the person responsible to maintain law and order i.e. the then President who took action against the criminals made to bow before these sham judiciary who according to some reports backed by their actions is a staunch supporter of so-called islamist terrorists

Military Operations are carried out for National Security reasons and can not be classified as a muder. Hence forth, Bugti, Ghazi were people who took arms against the state, causing rebellion, during that period they were killed,their is no justification even to hear the case, let alone asking former head of the state to appear. Benair case is also a farse, PPP govt. did not investigate, or tried , why to open it now , after a lapse of such long time..no wonder people think it is vandetta. Only case valid against Musharf is Decalartion of Emergency and send packing the Supreme Court. Should be punished according to law, perhaps a presidential pardon soon to follow.
