KARACHI: 114 vehicles taken away

KARACHI, June 29: As many as 114 vehicles, including 57 cars and an equal number of motorcycles, were taken away from different areas of the city during the last one week.

According to the statistics given by police, 30 cars were taken away at gunpoint and 27 others were stolen from areas of Buffer Zone, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Defence, Surjani Town, North Nazimabad, and Clifton.

Out of 57 motorcycles, 15 were snatched while 42 were stolen from various localities including Eidgah, Mobina Town, Risala, Sharifabad, Shah Faisal Colony, North Nazimabad, Frere, Liaquatabad, Arambagh, Preedy, and New Karachi, etc.

Police claimed recovery of 28 stolen cars and 27 motorcycles during the last week.
