KARACHI: Formidable Karachi won the two-day Mehran Friendship Sindh junior boxing tournament which concluded at Young Men’s Boxing Club, Hyderabad, on Saturday evening.

According to results, pugilists from Karachi fetched five gold, one silver and two bronze medals to win the honours.

Hosts Hyderabad finished runners-up in the five-team contest with a tally of three gold, two silvers and one bronze.

As many as 31 pugilists from five divisions of Sindh featured in the event

which was held under the aegis of Sindh Boxing Association (SBA) in collaboration with the district boxing association Hyderabad.

44 kg: Zohaib Rasheed (Karachi) bt Adnan Hafeez (Hyderabad) 3-0

46 kg: Mohammad Saeed (Karachi) bt Hyder Ali (Hyderabad) 3-0

48 kg: Arsalan (Karachi) bt Shehroz (Hyderabad) 2-1

50 kg: Arshad (Karachi) bt Arsalan Ali (Hyderabad) 2-1

52 kg: Naushad (Hyderabad) bt Waqas (Karachi) 3-0

54 kg: Noman (Hyderabad) bt Yasir (Larkana) 3-0

57 kg: Jawwad (Hyderabad) bt Shahrukh (Larkana) 3-0

60 kg: Aqib Ali (Karachi) bt Salar Qambrani (Hyderabad) 3-0.
