KARACHI, Dec 15: The road facing the VIP gate of mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam is in a dilapidated condition and needs an urgent repair to avoid traffic accidents.

Motorists told APP here on Friday that broken patches on this road can cause traffic accidents.

They expressed surprise that all the VIPs, including chief executive, the governor and visiting dignitaries use this road for visiting the mazar, but it is still battered.

They said in the absence of street-lights on this road, fatal accidents can also occur during the night.

During the construction and renovation work of mazar, several portion of this road were dug up for laying pipelines and cables but these patches were not properly repaired.

In addition, the trenches caused by monsoon rains are still to be filled.—APP
