At least 46 civilians killed in Aleppo barrel bomb raids: NGO

BEIRUT: At least 46 civilians were killed Saturday, 33 in one neighbourhood, when Syrian regime helicopters dropped explosive-packed barrels on rebel-held areas of the northern city of Aleppo, a monitor said.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights director Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP at least 46 civilians “died in the bombardment of eastern areas of Aleppo city with explosive barrels”, among them “33 civilians in the Tareq al-Bab area”.
