ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Mudassir shocked Sanaullah Khan while young Talha bin Arif scored an upset win over Syed Yawar Abbas in the pre-quarter-finals of the Subh-e-nau National Clay Tennis Championship at the PTF Sports Complex on Friday.

Both Mudassir and Talha came back to overpower their opponents in exciting contests. Mudassir won 6-2, 6-2 while Talha triumphed 6-4, 7-6(4) in the boys U-18 pre-quarter-final.

In another match, Aqeel Khan played superbly to beat Shehzad 6-4, 6-1. In another keen contest, Shehzad Khan knocked out Ahmed Babar 6-3, 6-2.—Agencies.
