IG Sindh orders stern action against those behind attack on Aslam

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Shahid Nadeem Baloch, on Saturday visited the site of the suicide bomb attack that killed SP CID Chaudhy Aslam and two policemen.

Shahid Nadeem was accompanied by Additional IG CID Iqbal Mehmood, Additional IG Karachi Shahid Hayat, DIG CID Zafar Abbas Bukhari, SP CID Raja Umar Khattab, SP Investigation Niaz Khoso and other CID officials during his visit.

IG Sindh directed the investigative teams of police to take stern action against those behind the attack.

He said a strict crackdown should be launched against terrorist elements in order to let them know that police morale would not come down with such cowardly attacks.

Shahid Nadeem directed officials to keep an eye on suspects travelling in or out of the city in order to arrest perpetrators and planners of the attack.

Shahid sahib when your department is corrupt how can you expect the morale of your officers is in tact or if they have any at all. Please sure that you don't stop merely at words.

IGP now comes out with this white wash. He should be asking: How did the suicide bomber know where and when this slain police officer would be moving? Launch an internal investigation and clean up your own house first.

Mr.IGP Sind, please clear your department from black sheep who were allegedly giving information about the movement of slain officer. Someone call Chaudhri Aslam to come to police headquarter and TTP terrorists were aware of his movement. Who that "someone" was, is your responsibility to find out. You need a major reshuffle in your department. There is no shortage of brave police officers who can counter terrorists and can give them a run all the time as was done by late Chaudhri Aslam. And, last but not the least, please request Government of Sindh to name the place where he was slain as Chaudri Aslam interchange at Esa-Nagri of Lyari by-pass.
