KARACHI, June 17: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Tuesday held a meeting in connection with complaints regarding supply of water to the four union councils of Lyari Town.

The meeting was attended by MNA Nabil Ahmed Gabol, Nazim Lyari Town Abdul Khaliq Jumma, EDO Water and Sewerage Board Brig (rtd) Javed Ashraf, UC Nazims and other officials.

Naimatullah Khan said the work on KWSB scheme of supply of water on rotation would commence from Wednesday under the supervision of the Nazims of the four union councils concerned. He added that any complaints would be immediately redressed.

He expressed the hope that with the completion of above mentioned scheme water would also be supplied to Ali Muhammad Muhallah.

MNA Nabil Ahmed Gabol said the objective of the meeting was to consider ways to solve the old problem of water shortage in some parts of Lyari.

The EDO water said that special attention was being paid to Lyari.—APP
