ISLAMABAD, June 11: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has approved a Rs10 million project to establish laboratories for faculty of engineering, computer and management sciences at the Air University.

The project was approved at the 10th Departmental Development Working Party meeting held recently at the HEC Campus in Islamabad. It will be completed in a period of one year.

The main objective of the project is to upgrade laboratories and libraries for the departments of computer and electronic engineering and management sciences.

Under the scheme, the university would initiate training and upgrading of faculty at the Teachers Training Institute of Pakistan Air Force.

Implementation of the scheme would result in enhancing professional competence of working engineers and technologists, fresh graduates and final year postgraduate students.

International seminars, workshops, short courses will be organized under the project to have inflow of latest knowledge and technology from outside the country.
