CHARSADDA, Dec 7: Two policemen were injured and a government primary school was blown up in separate IED blasts here on Saturday.

Police said two police personnel, Rahmat Ali and Fazalur Rehman, were injured when their mobile van was hit by a remote controlled bomb near Pakistan Tobacco Company offices in the jurisdiction of Sra Dheri police station. The vehicle was damaged partially. DPO Charsadda Shafiullah Khan confirmed the incident, saying police reached the blast site and collected evidences. BDU personnel said 3kg explosive was used in the blast.Meanwhile, a government primary school in Nasim Malka Korona area was blown up in Saro Kalli police station limits.

Officials said that unknown miscreants had planted explosives at the school building which exploded in the small hours of Saturday.

As a result two rooms of the school were destroyed. Police registered FIR against unknown persons and started investigation. — Correspondent
