KHAIRPUR, June 10: Scores of the Arain clansmen held a demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday to protest against the Thari Mirwah and Tando Meerali police.

The protesters accused the police of paving the way for the release of four accused of the murder of a local landlord, Saleem Arain.

They alleged that some Shar tribesmen had murdered Arain and threatened that if they were released, a protest movement would be launched.

MEETING: A meeting of the Government Secondary School Teachers’ Association, Kingri taluka, was held in Kolab Jial on Tuesday.

Speakers at the meeting said that two days back, eight gunmen took away ten computers from the local school. However, they said, the Tando Masti police instead of arresting culprits had detained the watchman.
