CHAKWAL, Nov 29: A man allegedly gunned down his wife on Thursday evening, police said on Friday.

Both the couple has been living in Faisal Colony for the last eight years ago.

On Thursday evening Faisal made a call to Rescue 1122 and informed the Emergency Service that his wife had committed suicide.

When the personnel of Rescue 1122 reached they found the body of Faiza lying in a pool of blood.

They called the police which collected the evidences from the crime scene. “Initial investigations show that the woman was shot in the skull from the rear and the bullet torn apart her head,” Investigation Officer Ashraf Gondal said while talking to Dawn.

Police immediately arrested the man who stated that her wife had an extra-marital affair with someone. “Whenever I called her, her cellphone was found busy and she kept on talking with someone for hours”, the IO quoted the accused as saying.

He further told the police that before her wife shot herself to death, a quarrel took place between the two over her affair.

She has left behind a son and two daughters.
