PESHAWAR, Dec 13: The provincial government has suspended Dr Saeeda Majeed, a known gynaecologist of the Khyber Teaching Hospital.

She was suspended on the charges of conducting unsatisfactory inquiry sometime back against a female gynaecologist of Parachinar, the sources said.

Senior doctors in the KTH confirmed her suspension but added that the charges against her were of minor nature. They hoped she would be reinstated soon.

It may be added here that the local people of Parachinar had complained against a female gynaecologist of Parachinar hospital for taking excessive fees and charging at the hospital.

Taking notice of the complaints, the government had ordered an inquiry against her which ended in her favour.

Later on, the government appointed Dr Saeeda Majeed for conducting another inquiry against her but it also failed in bringing any charges against her.

Disappointed with this, the government ordered her suspension.
