PESHAWAR, June 8: A jirga between elders of Kokikhel tribe and political administration of Khyber Agency would be held in Jamrood on Monday to settle a dispute over the killing of two tribesmen.

According to a union of Afridi tribesmen, the residents of Jamrood held a protest demonstration on Saturday against the Khyber Riffles militia for killing two young men of Kokikhel tribe. The demonstrators dispersed peacefully after the assurance by APA Jamrood, Mr Riaz Khan Mehsud, to settle the dispute in the jirga on Monday.

Wakil Khan, son of Gulbaz and Masharan Khan, son of Haji Naseem Khan were killed and another man Mohammad Gul was injured critically when the militiamen of Khyber Riffles allegedly opened fire on a vehicle on Tuesday.
