MULTAN, Nov 9: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi says the drone attack on Hakimullah Mehsud has disrupted everything and the Nato supply will be blocked from Nov 20.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, the former foreign minister said drone attacks were being discussed in the National Assembly, but neither the prime minister nor was the interior minister attending the session which was regretful.
He said All Parties Conference’s mandate to the government regarding negotiations with the Taliban had been spoiled for the sake of expediency.
“The government should take the nation into confidence that whether it was in contact with new the Taliban leadership after the killing of Hakimullah Meshud” Mr Qureshi said.
He said Mullah Fazlullah was hiding in Afghanistan while his organisation was functioning in Pakistan and only the government could confirm regarding the negotiations with the new leadership of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as negotiations were suspended after the killing of Hakimullah.
Qureshi said the former government had signed Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project despite the foreign pressure against it and now the government should announce clearly that either it would implement the agreement or not.
