HYDERABAD, June 7: Teachers observed a protest day here on Saturday against attack on and arrest of protesting teachers in Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, ASTA office-bearers Ismail Laghari, Qazi Aminuddin, Imdad Ali Gopang and others leashed out at the government for using force against teachers.

They demanded immediate release of the arrested teachers and removal of the federal finance minister. They also demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident and punishment to government functionaries who had used force against the teachers.
