Sherakot police said Amjad of Lohari Gate turned up at a shrine for prayer and after some time went up the high tension tower situated on Bund Road.

Rescuers and police rushed to the spot on emergency calls and began efforts to bring the man down. Quoting Amjad, Iqbal Town SP (Operations) Syed Tasueef Haider said he faced some structural damage after the roof of his house collapsed a few months ago.

Similarly, he had given Rs150,000 to his neighbour Nizafat who was not returning amount to him.

Amjad told the media on the spot that his house was burnt in 2005 in which his wife and daughter suffered burns, but no one from the government side came to help him. He also lent some money to an agent for getting visa of a country, but he was deceived.
