KARACHI: Education survey from Nov 13

KARACHI, Oct 11: The Sindh Education Department has decided to undertake a three-day education census from Nov 13 to collect education data and related human resource survey.

The survey will cover government, non-government, all educational institutions from school level to colleges and from technical institutions to teachers training colleges. A mechanism has been evolved to check its validity on the spot with the help of available record of each institution.

Keeping in view the gigantic task, the department has decided to take the elected representatives into confidence, particularly for the task of collecting data on school children.

According to schedule, on 13th and 14th of November all the heads of around 50,000 educational institutions of the province will personally report to the office of Assistant District Officer of their area along with relevant record and muster roll for necessary verification on the spot.

On 15th of November all the field staff and officers of the department of education shall randomly visit various institutions and verify the data collected for its validity.

The pro formas for data collection have already been sent to all institutions.—PPI
