KARACHI, May 23: The Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal candidate in the by-election for NA 255, Muhammad Aslam Mujahid, has appealed to the Sindh chief minister and the 5- corps commander to take notice of “the arrest of innocent people in Landhi and Korangi aimed at creating an atmosphere of harassment” in the locality.

He also asked the two authorities to ensure action against the police personnel responsible for torture and humiliation of the mother and sisters of Zahid Ali and Shahid Ali.

Aslam Mujahid, who was speaking to the youths released during 48 hours, and their family members, said that he would continue to raise voice against the arrests of innocent people and for rights of the oppressed people of Korangi and Landhi.

The MMA leader visited the houses of the affected families including the house of Afaq Ahmad, chief of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement.
