CHITRAL: A moderate earthquake measuring a 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Northern Khyber Pakthunkhwa on Sunday, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.

A source told Dawn.com that the tremors were felt in Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Chitral valley, Malakand and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, the seismological department said the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindukush mountains.

No casualties were reported until the filing of this report.
