LAHORE, July 11: Punjab Advocate General Shahid Karim, who was appointed by the caretaker government, has resigned from the post.

According to sources at the advocate general’s office, Mr Karim has quitted as appointment of the new AGP by the government is in sight.

They said senior lawyer Ashtar Ausaf, who held the AGP office in the past, might be the new appointee against the AGP slot.

Ausaf had resigned after the establishment of interim government for holding the elections. — Staff Reporter
