KARACHI, May 19: MPA Fariha Razzaq Haroon has said that the presence of 286 women prisoners and 62 children against the capacity of 105 in the women prison is making the life of the inmates miserable.

This she said after paying a visit to the prison.

She also visited the industrial home in the prison where cooking, sewing and embroidery classes were held for the prisoners to make them self-reliant and earn their lively hood after securing release.

The MPA said that she would spend the development funds on the construction of new barracks and a computer room for the women prisoners.
