KARACHI, May 19: Provincial Minister for Planing and Development Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari on Monday visited the 10-bed hospital in Patel Para which had partially been constructed and abandoned since 1994-95.

Syed Mustafa Kamal (MPA) accompanied the minister during the visit.

Mr Bukhari asked the officials of his department to provide Rs3 million for the completion of the project by June 30.

He said the government attached top priority to the provision of health facilities to the people.

He announced that a 100-bed hospital project costing Rs70 million in Gulshan-I-Iqbal and a 50-bed hospital project worth Rs30 million in Lal market, New Karachi, would be included in the next fiscal year’s development projects.

The EDO Health, Ali Nawaz Shaikh, and EDO Works & Services, Brig Zahir Qadri, were present on the occasion.—PPI
