RAWALPINDI, April 21: Two senior police officers were booked by the Airport police for destroying vital evidence of a murder case, police said on Sunday.

Sub-inspectors Tariq Bin Aziz and Arshad Kaleem, who had been leading the murder investigation of a case # 140 of 2009, were accused of destroying vital evidence of the case.

Police said the two had failed to send the blood-soaked clothes of the deceased to the authorities concerned, apparently to provide relief to the murderers.

They were booked on the charges of defrauding and negligence in their duty. None of them has been arrested, though police said raids had been launched.—Staff Reporter
