ISLAMABAD, April 20: All Pakistan Subh-e-Nau Tennis Championship will begin at the Islamabad Club tennis courts from April 28.

Shahida Kausar Farooq, chairperson of Subh-e-Nau, said the championship will be an open event where players can participate in categories of men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies’ singles, boys’ U-18 and U-14, and diplomat men’s and ladies’ singles.

She added that a player can participate in two categories at a time. She further said that participation of diplomats will help in portraying better image of Pakistan.

A total of Rs200,000 will be distributed among the participants as prize money according to the rules set by the International Tennis Federation. Besides, outstation players will get daily allowance.

Draws will be taken out on April 27 on the event venue. Finals of this championship will be played on May 5. —Agencies
