LARKANA: Man kills wife

Published May 17, 2003

LARKANA, May 16: A man, Hassan Ali Bugti, killed his wife, Noor Bano, on the pretext of Karo-kari in the Lal Bakhsh Bugti village on Friday.

Later, Hassan surrendered himself to the police along with weapon used in the crime.

He claimed that he had killed his wife over Karo-kari.

However, the woman’s brother, Bakhshal Khan, said that his sister, who was a mother of seven children, was innocent, and added that her husband was a drug addict.

Ten faint: At least ten people fell unconscious after inhaling ammonia gas when a gas cylinder exploded at an ice factory in the small industries estate here on Thursday.

The affected people — Zahid Ali, Ali Sher, Mohammed Aslam, Benazir, Aqila, Malkan, Sakina, Mushtaq and Abdul Hakeem — were rushed to the Chandka Medical College Hospital.
