SIKH pilgrims have recently urged our government to remove the hassles in the issuance of visas to all Sikhs desirous of attending the various events in Pakistan from time to time. In my opinion there might be some minor hassles regarding visa issuance, otherwise a great number of Sikhs, mostly from India, would not be in a position to come and see their temples and Gurdwaras.
On the other hand, what about the Indian visa policy for Pakistanis desirous of meeting their near and dear ones across the border? It is rather unfortunate that Pakistani visa-seekers are not even allowed to go to the Indian High Commission.
The Indian government should ensure a trouble-free atmosphere and remove the painful hurdle in issuing visas to Pakistani applicants.
We may say that Pakistanis desirous of visiting their kith and kin in India is as natural as Sikhs desirous of seeing their temples and Gurdwaras in Pakistan.

So when countries around the world are putting up barriers to keep Pakistanis out, you want India to do the opposite.
Its unfortunate that some of the holiest Sikh places are in Pakistan, but its not the end of the world. But, saving a catastrophe and strict vigilance is of prime importance.

We should have a visa office in Karachi to start with , tourist visa is must as many of us want to go India for a normal holiday to spend our hard earned money and we don't have any relatives , I want to get away from my relatives to have a break . I m fed up of far east, and middle east. please make it easy we only want to spend our hard earned money .

Let us not paint more than 180 million people with the same brush. No body denies the issue of extremism we have but more than 99% of Pakistanis are peaceful people. It is important for every country to be cautious about its safety and we respect that but there are so many profiles which just by looking at them can be cleared for not being any potential threat.

Keep the Indians out. We do not want more terrorism in Pakistan. Haven't we learned a lesson that whenever we release an Indian prisoner, as soon as he gets to Indian soil, he proudly claims to be a spy involved in terrorism. You can also watch all around the world, wherever Indians have gone, they bring their problems with them and the host countries, such as Australia, US, and UK get tired of them. If we issue them visas, they should be confined to a single city and the conditions should be strictly enforced! We are too welcoming for them...and that needs to stop.

For Sikhs Pakistan should be more accomodative. Since Islam teaches us tolerance and freedom of choice in matters of religion. I appeal to the government that procedures for Sikh pilgrims be made easy even if India does not reciprocate.

To the best of my knowledge, the Indian High Commission in Pakistan is located in Islamabad, which is in Pakistan, in a territory fully controlled by the Pakistani government, and certainly not by the Indian government.
In other words, if Pakistani visa-seekers are not allowed to approach the Indian High Commission, I seriously doubt if the Indian government has anything to do with it or can do anything about it.

@Muhammad Taqi: Why should the world have the additional burden of identifying between terrorists and non-terrorists amongst Muslims. Why can't Muslims identify between the bad guys and good guys. In this context India has been victimized by Pakistan based terror groups, if Indian Consulate has tough Visa regulations for Pakistani citizens what's wrong in that.
