KARACHI, June 20: The Sindh government on Thursday notified the portfolios of the four ministers inducted 20 days ago into the cabinet as the first instalment of six ministers and a cabinet adviser.

Before the notification Sardar Ahmad Ali Pitafi participating in the general discussion on the budget in the assembly criticised the government for paying salaries and perks to the five ministers without any performance as they were yet to be allotted departments.

According to the notification, Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was given the department of education, Manzoor Wasan prisons, mining and minerals; Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, works and services and Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman, revenue (excluding land utilisation), relief and rehabilitation.

Earlier, Dr Sikander Mandhro was notified as law and parliamentary affairs minister, Sherjeel Inam Memon as information minister and Syed Murad Ali Shah as an adviser to the chief minister on finance.
