KARACHI: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has taken strong exception to Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif’s remarks dubbing all CNG station operators thieves.

“The baseless statement indicates non-serious, unethical and childish attitude of the minister who has used non-parliamentary language which was never expected from him. Masses have not voted [the] PML-N to power to listen to baseless allegations and false statements but to get their long-standing problems resolved,” Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha, chairman of the APCNGA’s Supreme Council, said in a statement.

“Theft in the CNG sector is nominal while majority of those involved in stealing gas are influential politicians. No government would ever take action against crooked politicians but blame others for their faults which is hypocrisy.”

Mr Paracha said some elements had been misguiding people about the CNG sector by using false figures and some politicians had been issuing childish statements which reflected badly on their credibility. —PPI
