KARACHI, May 31: Pakistan snooker team arrived here from Doha on Friday evening after competing in the second 6-Redball Asian Snooker Championship and inaugural Asian team event.

World amateur champion Mohammad Asif did the country proud by capturing the 6-Redball regional title.

However, top seeds Pakistan made unceremonious exit in the Asian team event suffering a shock defeat at the hands of Afghanistan in the quarter-final.

Besides Asif, other members of the Pakistan team were Mohammad Sajjad, Hamza Akbar and Mohammad Majid Ali.

Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation Presidetn Alamgir Shaikh also arrived with the team. —Sports Correspondent
