KARACHI, May 11: About seven national and international firms were pre-qualified for the Mass Transit Railway Project at a meeting of the Project Evaluation Committee, presided over by the district coordination officer of Karachi, Mir Hussain Ali.

The firms that pre-qualified are: The China National Machine and Equipment Corporation Group, Dong Fang Electric Corporation China, M. Trans Holding Malaysia, Infra-Structure Development Corporation of Pakistan, MMC Material Malaysia, American Meglar Technology USA and Pak Interglobe Magno JV.

The pre-qualified firms are now permitted to submit their terms and conditions on a BOT basis for the specified project.—APP
