KARACHI, May 5: Corps Commander Lt-Gen Tariq Wasim Ghazi has directed that steps be taken to provide all civic amenities to the residents of DHA.

He was speaking at a meeting of the executive board of the DHA held here on Monday at its main office.

Various development activities of the DHA as well as its future plans were reviewed at the meeting.

Gen. Ghazi directed that special attention be paid towards tackling the problems of water shortage, pollution, sewerage, repair of roads and cleanliness.

He stressed that projects such as setting up of desalination plant and electricity generation be completed at the earliest and that beautification of environment be carried out.

Gen. Ghazi called for widening of the roads in the area as well as beautifying them.

With regard to the future plans of the DHA, he especially mentioned the Creek City residential project which is planned to be constructed in front of the DHA Gold Club, where all the civic amenities would be available.

Setting up of DHA General Hospital, DHA Development Project and DHA Cogeneration Plant are some other projects, which would lead to the development of DHA.

Earlier, the Administrator of DHA, Brig. Asif Ghazali, spoke about the development works of DHA as well as its future plans.—APP
