APWA, Qadri Secondary triumph

KARACHI, Sept 21 Qadri Secondary School and APWA School defeated their respective opponents as two more matches were decided in the HBL-KCCA Inter-school cricket tournament here the other day.

In the first match at the KCCA Stadium, Qadir Secondary crushed Zeeshan School by 177 runs.

Batting first, Qadri School made 225 with Saqib Alam (65, six fours), Saifullah Bangash (34) and Ahmed Bilal (33) the main run-getters. Waqas claimed four for 24.

Zeeshan School, in reply, were bundled out a paltry 48 as Ghulam Mohammad captured 5-24, Hammad Khan 3-16 and Arsalan Hussain 2-7.

In the other match APWA scored a 13-run win over Khan Secondary School at the Pak Star Ground.

APWA scored 153 after winning the toss with Faizan making 25. Khan Secondary, in response, totalled 140. For APWA, Jibran, Salman and Tahir each took two wickets.
