ATTOCK, Dec 27: Hazro Police have arrested two alleged arms smugglers, recovering a cache of illegal weapons, near Chacch Interchange of Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1).

The sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Hazro police circle Syed Akbar Abbass informed that on a tip-off about arms being smuggled from Khyber Paktunkhawa (KPK) to Punjab thorough the Motorway; the Hazro police setup a barrier near the interchange.

Later, a suspicious car was intercepted and during checking, 550 bullets, six 30 bore pistols, two 44 bore rifles, a double-barrel gun and 9 magazines were found, SDPO claimed.—Correspondent
