LARKANA, Nov 14: Armed robbers riding a motorcycle shot and wounded two rice traders at Lahori Regulator of the Rice Canal within the remit of the Waleed police station on Wednesday before depriving them of the cash they had drawn from a nearby bank a little earlier.

The traders, Arbelo Wako, 30, and his uncle, Mohammed Waris Wako, residents of Ladho Gopang village in Kambar, were on their way back home after drawing Rs340,000 from the MCB Lahori Branch when three robbers intercepted them and demanded the money. The traders offered resistance upon which the robbers opened fire. Both the victims sustained bullet wounds in their legs and were later shifted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital.

The robbers escaped from the scene with the booty.
