KOHAT, Nov 11: Provincial Minister for Housing Amjid Khan Afridi has said that provision of gas facility to all parts of Kohat is top priority of the government.

Addressing a public meeting in Muslimabad on Bannu road here on Sunday, the minister said that huge gas reserves discovered in the area were more than the need of the province. Therefore, he said the facility should be provided first to Kohat. He announced provision of gas facility to Muslimabad work on which would be started soon.

He said that heeding the demand of the people the Peshawar High Court had already exempted the CNG stations in Kohat from loadshedding because gas reserved had been found there.

Speaking about the education policy of the provincial government, the minister claimed that the Awami National Party-led government wanted pen and book in the hands of every child and to achieve that goal schools and colleges were being constructed everywhere.

He also informed the people that the government had spread network of development schemes especially electricity and gas in the 37 miles radius of Kohat and more projects were being approved for far flung areas.

He said elected representatives were duty bound to be present among their voters to listen to their problems and try to resolve them.
