KARACHI, Jan 17: Carjackers snatched the official car of a defence ministry official in the Gulistan-i-Jauhar area on Tuesday, police said.

They said that the Toyota Corolla car, bearing registration number GP-1730 was snatched from Bashir Ahmed Abbasi near the NIPA traffic intersection. Mr Abbasi is a deputy secretary in the ministry of defence.

The incident took place at 9:11am near NIPA when the official was heading towards the National Institute of Public Administration. Currently, he is in the city to attend a NIPA course.—Staff Reporter
